We will be casting selected roles in the following shows:
Wharton Between the Sheets, by Anne Undeland
Wharton Between the Sheets takes us to Paris in 1908 and brings together Edith Wharton, her dear friend Henry James, her lover Morton Fullerton and her Irish lady’s maid in an eyebrow-raising retelling of Wharton’s actual mid-life romance. A literary and historical banquet of language, sex, mores and manners, Between the Sheets sparkles with wit while it examines class differences and the complexity of human relationship. More than anything, the play makes us fall in love — with Edith Wharton, with the people in her life, and best of all, with her own glorious writing.
Casting for Morton Fullerton (sexy, very attractive man in his 40's), Henry James (50's - 60's) and Posy, the Irish Maid (30's - 40's).
Parent on Board, A sketch comedy revue. Casting all roles.
A brand-new sketch comedy revue coming to Middlebury in October 2025 centered entirely on the theme of parenting. A talented team of actor/writer/improvisers will develop original scenes and songs based on the wildly challenging yet wondrously wonderful world of parenting and being parented. The show will be directed by Andrew Ritter who is a former director, teacher, and performer of sketch comedy and improvisation at The Second City in Chicago.
A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens
Adapted by Gary Smith, and directed by Smith and Company Artistic Director Melissa Lourie, this adaptation stays true to the novella, and deftly integrates Dickens’ witty, pointed, and socially conscious narrative with the heartwarming and familiar journey Ebenezer Scrooge makes from profiteer to philanthropist. Guided by his ghosts and all the story's unforgettable characters, Scrooge makes a courageous and uplifting transformation that in turn transforms the world around him - a journey from darkness to light.
